Home ❯ Veterans and DVA
We speak your language. We understand the DVA system. We are here for you.
At Harwell, veteran care isn’t a service. It’s our foundation.
We understand the unique needs of veterans and their families, and we deliver practical, respectful care designed to help you stay safe, well, and independent at home.
Whether it’s help with daily tasks, personal care, or a short break for your carer, we’re here with steady, familiar support that honours your service.
Our team ensures every visit is part of a relationship built on dignity, trust, and real understanding of the veteran experience.
Practical, personalised support that makes daily living safer, easier and more comfortable.
Hospital-grade nursing in your home, delivering expert, compassionate health support for recovery, chronic conditions, or palliative needs.
Respectful, relationship-focused assistance with daily routines, preserving dignity, independence, and comfort in your own home.
Light household help that keeps your home clean, safe, and comfortable while supporting independence.
Short-term, in-home care so primary carers can rest, knowing loved ones are safe, supported, and understood.
Gentle, dignified end-of-life support for clients and families, focusing on comfort, respect, and emotional care.
Overnight safety, care, and reassurance, from sleepover support to active night-time assistance.
Reliable support with daily activities for those living with a disability, injury, or serious illness.
Navigating funding options can be overwhelming. Our team is here to guide you through the process and ensure you receive the support you’re entitled to.
You may be eligible for Veteran Home Care (VHC) services if you have one of the following:
Not sure if you’re eligible? We can help you check your status and guide you through the process.
Getting started is simple:
Step 1: Contact the VHC Assessment Agency
Call 1300 550 450 to register for an assessment.
Step 2: Speak with a VHC Assessor
A trained assessor will call you at a convenient time to discuss the type of care and services you may need.
Step 3: Receive your personalised care plan
Based on your discussion, the assessor will create a tailored care plan—and send it directly to us for service coordination.
Step 4: Start receiving support
Once your care plan is approved, we’ll contact you to begin your services.
Veteran-founded, veteran-focused. We know the system, and we care enough to make it simple.
Founded by a veteran’s son, our mission is personal, and our way to honour your service.
We match you with a regular support worker who knows your preferences, and your routine.
We guide you through the DVA process and stay with you every step of the way.
We tailor visit times around your life, and not the other way around.
Our services extend beyond cities, with ongoing phone support to keep care accessible.
Our approach reflects the culture, respect, and structure veterans value.
